Fired Up for A Fresh Brewed Cup

Crisscrossing the city putting out fires - figuratively and sometimes, literally - at five (soon to be six) restaurants keeps Franklin Restaurant Group Executive Chef Brian Reyelt on his toes. To help him get the spring in his step he needs to start his day – which might include checking up on menu changes at Citizen Public House, training new cooks at any of the three Franklin locations or overseeing kitchen construction at Tasty Burger’s third spot in Harvard Square (opening soon) – Reyelt would like a little help from Starbucks and their Verismo 585 System.

Available through Williams Sonoma, this Swiss-engineered, single-cup system will allow the coffee lover on your list to craft their very own customized cup without grinding a bean or steaming even an drop of milk. Before they’re even out of their pajamas, they can, with the press of a button or two, brew the perfect cup of coffee, espresso or latte in under a minute. Verismo doesn’t come cheap, but if you’ve got a busy cooker to buy for, it might be just the thing to light a fire under him or her (figuratively) in the AM.
