A Chi-Town Fave for Busy Bean-Towners

It’s one of the better kept industry secrets: chefs rarely eat on the job. Sure, they taste the food that’s coming out of the kitchen but we’re talking about a spoon dipped in sauce or a tiny sliver of steak to test for seasoning; they don’t often have time to sit down for an actual meal. And by the time they’ve finished feeding everyone else and are heading home, their options are limited.

Chef Bill Brodsky’s solution? The City Landing chef-owner has pizza delivered all the way from Chicago. Not just any pizza - handmade pizza from Tastes of Chicago's Lou Malnati, whose delicious deep dish wares have made appearances on Road Tasted, Throw Down with Bobby Flay, Pizza Wars, Chef vs. City, America's Test Kitchen and Food Wars.

The pies, which are available in cheese, sausage, pepperoni, veggie, spinach and crustless, are baked and frozen quickly before being packed in dry ice and shipped via UPS to your (or the pizza lover of your choosing’s) house or office – with baking instructions and a personal message right on the box.

At the end of a long day, Brodsky just opens the fridge and pops one in the oven so he and his wife can sit down and catch up over a cold beer and an actual meal. Order one (or six) for the giftees on your list - cookers or otherwise - who occasionally find themselves too busy to eat.
